PHOSPHATING

For an unbeatable adhesion
AT A GLANCE!
  • poorly soluble conversion coating
  • High absorbency due to numerous capillaries in the layer
  • Improve adhesion properties
  • Layer weight: 2 - 5 g/m2

How does it work?

Zinc phosphating is a chemical process for creating a sparingly soluble conversion layer on a metal substrate. This zinc phosphate coating, which can also be reliably applied to components with cavities and undercuts, is resistant to lubricants, fuels and solvents.

We use zinc phosphating as a pre-treatment. Due to the fine crystalline layer structure and numerous capillaries in the conversion layer, it has a high absorption capacity. This creates a perfect adhesive substrate for subsequent sealants.

The phosphating process takes place in one of our fully automated systems. This is how we create the optimal primer before sealing your components with one of our numerous base and top coats.
